will probably feature a movable map because they will have to add all the new stuff plus all the old stuff. ascalon will probably be rebuilt and there will be BEATIFUL CITIES. Like pre searing. No one wants anymore of these dull burned down cities. we want the pretty ones from pre searing.

Not to mention they will probably add another class.

I hope they don't rebuild Ascalon. Something like the Searing should take hundreds of years to recover from. It would be in bad taste if it was fixed so quickly.

I"m quite sure that the expansion will take place in Cantha. It's an as-yet unexplored place in the gw universe, it's a place we've been given hints of (It's where Jamel the creature tamer sends animals, it's where the guild hall merchant, tour guide and ship captain all come from) and it seems that we've pretty much solved the major problems of Tyria having eliminated the U----- L---, and the M--s--t, and the summit, and the charr... we've taken care of everything here. Time to move across the ocean to bigger and better things.

But I do indeed hope that our alien friends stay with us.

from what I understand, the future expansions will add more content to PVE:

New Quests
New Areas
NEw Characters? Races?
New Skills
New Weapons and Armor

Just have to wait and see.

I'd personally like more races or some way to customize your character's appearance. Maybe also allow a skill for warriors that allows them to duel wield

Above all else though... in cutscenes, if you're going to have audio, make the NPC's lips move... please...

I think that first half 06 is reasonable, because the game has enough content and builds to get you through at least the end of the year. If you do every single side quest as well as bonuses from the missions, getting fissure armour, ect.... and then repeat it for a few more builds you would have enough to keep you busy for months passed first half 06.

I hope thats fake because if i have to wait that long to continue playing new areas i will go insane. Why would they make us wait that long

Conversely, I thought I had read that the first expansion would be coming this summer though? And that it would be free, and that the first market expansion was for next year? Or was that some sort of kinky wet dream I had, in which I was playing Guild Wars while being caressed by various super-models?

actually they are wrong.

the OFFICIAL word from the company official is the first half of 06 as he was pointing out very strongly in an interview to try to squash the rumors of an earlier release to prevent people yelling xyz said earlier.
